I am currently an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Colorado Boulder. Prior to that, I worked as a Research Mathematician at the Geospatial Research Laboratory, in Alexandria, VA. In that role, I developed deep-learning models to do land-cover classification of high-resolution imagery, and created data analysis tools and movement models to better understand how invasive carp react to acoustic deterrents.
I did my PhD work at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; my advisors were Richard Rebarber and Brigitte Tenhumberg.

Activities
I grew up in Colorado, and my favorite thing to do is spend time in the mountains. I also like to play the piano, and all the normal human activities of reading, cooking, watching movies, riding my bike, and seeking nirvana.I'm constantly on the lookout for new music.
