I am currently an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Colorado Boulder. Prior to that, I worked as a Research Mathematician at the Geospatial Research Laboratory, in Alexandria, VA. In that role, I developed deep-learning models to do land-cover classification of high-resolution imagery, and created data analysis tools and movement models to better understand how invasive carp react to acoustic deterrents.

I did my PhD work at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; my advisors were Richard Rebarber and Brigitte Tenhumberg.

Activities

I grew up in Colorado, and my favorite thing to do is spend time in the mountains. I also like to play the piano, and all the normal human activities of reading, cooking, watching movies, riding my bike, and seeking nirvana.

I'm constantly on the lookout for new music.
